    Soft Skills Training & Assessment

Soft skills training relies on content that is not dictatorial in defining user interactions. At Cambridge Digital we’re firmly of the opinion that people learn by doing rather than reading, so soft skills e-learning has to give users experience in the processes they are developing in a context akin to that in which they will use them. So just reading a lot of case studies and writing or selecting responses to them isn’t going to do the trick.

Soft skills training development therefore requires a close analysis of the business needs being addressed, and of the context, budget and continuity plan the training will fit into. It’s a fascinating process that achieves very satisfying results. A recent project for Veolia in France saw us developing sales and negotiation training using the Gamescaper engine in an interactive video presentation. With analysis of personal presentation and responses, plus a record of user audio responses to situations, the product is a really valuable tool in the training and personal development plans of their sales teams.
    E-Learning

Good e-learning is a great way to deliver measurable training and educational results in a cost effective way, and Cambridge Digital is an experienced creator of content, architecture and platforms for delivering e-learning on CD-ROMs, Virtual Learning Environments, iPhone/iPad/Android and the internet.

We produce content for publishers and end users in the UK, France and Japan and globally through internet based learning environments, with current projects including maths examination training, English as a Foreign Language training and assessment, business skills training, intercultural business skills training, primary literacy and numeracy materials, and secondary ICT training.

E-Learning Lightbulb ManA key area for content creation for us has been in producing software training, sometimes in conjunction with professional development training and assessment programs.

We bring all our experience and expertise to the creation and delivery of the product whatever the scale.

    E-learning - Welcome to Business

Welcome to Business is a site for Business English learners that runs a course called 'Welcome to Business' which is an immersive English course over six levels.

It follows the visit to the UK of a businessman from the US and gives a humorous insight into the communication and language skills required for the context, as well as a tight pedagogical development.

Originally built for Laserdisc, we've put the entire course online, and set it into the collaborative Learning Management System of our Exintra CMS so that students and tutors can interact and collaborate in a rich and effective learning environment.

It's also got rather an all-star cast, with Barbara Thorn, Tamsin Olivier, Jay Benedict and Norman Eshley bringing a great deal of humour and life to the whole affair.
