Client: Vogtliner Platform: exintra CMS 2.0

Vogt Maguire is a shipping company with a history stretching right back through the last century. As a significant player in an enormously competitive field, relying on that illustrious history is no guarantee of future commercial success, and their website embraces both classic design and very modern functionality.

The website is a window onto the company's operations in the UK and around the world, but its primary use for existing customers is as an information portal. Vogt was aware that they spent a lot of time updating their customers and potential customers on information that is the backbone of their business - the sailing schedule for the various lines they handle in and out of Felixstowe.

As a result, we built a function to deliver the sailing schedules on the front page of the site, that can be updated constantly without any recourse to technical partners or staff - it's simply handled through the CMS.

The schedule is also available as a download from the site, so that all the calls that previously had to be taken by staff, who would deliver the same information perhaps hundreds of times a week, is now maintained and delivered via the website with a few minutes's work by one person each week.

Now, that's a website that works!
