Client: TVZ Platform: custom CMS

TVZ.tv is a wonderful site we're very proud of. It's very busy, and in fact serves as the global hub for news desks to hire satelite uplink services and associated broadcast services in every corner of the world, however far-flung. Their clients come from all over the world too, advertising their services to news-gatherers flocking to every event you can think of, every day.

We like to think that the news you all watch is coming to you via a satelite connection hired via the TVZ.tv website, which we built! Cool!

One of the most diverting things about the site is that the clients offer their video on the website too, and it is listed as news, but in chronological order, so the normal editorial hierachy of important news coming at the top of the page is delightfully subverted. My favorite day so far is when the headline item for a while was on the man with the world's biggest nose! Set against the background of more conventionally important items, it was lovely to see.

The site itself is pretty complex because it is a series of interlinking directories of clients, services and advertisements, all of which are managed through the database and CMS in a way that has to remain, well, manageable!

It's an ambitious site too, with lots of plans for development, so well worth keeping an eye on.
