    Interactive Materials Creation

Interactivity is a crucial part of e-learning because most people learn by doing. One of the great failures of a lot of e-learning content is the fact that multiple choice selection in text exercises is often presumed to be an appropriate interactive response to learning modules, when in fact it might not offer the opportunity for users to do anything directly related to their subject.

Careful analysis of learning and training outcomes is therefore crucial to interactive materials creation, and this is something Cambridge Digital brings a great deal of teaching experience to, as well as digital production experience.

We therefore build interactive materials that use graphics and animation, audio and video stimulus and user responses. Recording an audio response to something can provide enormous opportunities for development, and also tell an assessor far more about a user’s real abilities than tick or text responses. We therefore look at the whole process, including training platform development and the role of trainers and assessors, when we design and build interactive materials.
    E-Learning

Good e-learning is a great way to deliver measurable training and educational results in a cost effective way, and Cambridge Digital is an experienced creator of content, architecture and platforms for delivering e-learning on CD-ROMs, Virtual Learning Environments, iPhone/iPad/Android and the internet.

We produce content for publishers and end users in the UK, France and Japan and globally through internet based learning environments, with current projects including maths examination training, English as a Foreign Language training and assessment, business skills training, intercultural business skills training, primary literacy and numeracy materials, and secondary ICT training.

E-Learning Lightbulb ManA key area for content creation for us has been in producing software training, sometimes in conjunction with professional development training and assessment programs.

We bring all our experience and expertise to the creation and delivery of the product whatever the scale.

    E-learning - Welcome to Business

Welcome to Business is a site for Business English learners that runs a course called 'Welcome to Business' which is an immersive English course over six levels.

It follows the visit to the UK of a businessman from the US and gives a humorous insight into the communication and language skills required for the context, as well as a tight pedagogical development.

Originally built for Laserdisc, we've put the entire course online, and set it into the collaborative Learning Management System of our Exintra CMS so that students and tutors can interact and collaborate in a rich and effective learning environment.

It's also got rather an all-star cast, with Barbara Thorn, Tamsin Olivier, Jay Benedict and Norman Eshley bringing a great deal of humour and life to the whole affair.
