• Can't log in with the admin password: Access errors [01/09/2008]
If you can't log in with your Admin password, it’s almost certainly because you have installed the application to a location to which you don’t have read, write and delete permissions. and have set the shared location in an area in which all users don’t have read, write and delete access. This means the application can’t write the xml files it needs in order to record and update user details including access rights, so nothing works.
You need to delete the shared folder you’ve already created, and uninstall the application, because it will have been created without the ActiveTeach1_ActiveTeach1.xml file it needs to set up the admin. You then need to change the permissions of the two areas to read, write and delete for all users, map the drives the application and the shared data folders are on if that’s not been done (if they’re using a UNC share, the video doesn’t work on ActiveTeach), and make the folders invisible. Then reinstall, set the shared data location and it will all work.
