• What does the 2009 Upgrade offer?: Upgrade 2009 [25/11/2009]
The 2009 upgrade offers: Integrated user management of all three stages of the product through one administration interface;Encrypted passwords which are not case-sensitive; Simple Teaching Group porting between stages; Archiving and deleting of users from all stages in one process; Improved tabbing in the interface; An option to install videos that run over a UNC share; Improved data-transfer integrity in the system, to minimise data-loss through network outage; Improved reporting of logged-in users, so that administrators can see who is using the system. In particular, if users are unable to upload work because they are being locked out by someone else viewing data-upload pages such as the marking screen, the administrator can now see who is doing the locking; Generally improved user-management display and controls, including the ability for administrators to open uploaded files in pupil records from their stored folders (not the temporary location everyone else accesses them from) so that they can look at file integrity issues. |
