We Specialise in Digital Design, Development and Publishing

Digital Publishing

We're experts in native digital publishing and also deliver digitisation programmes, transforming print and analogue materials into user-focused digital experiences. Like any good translation process, it’s not a matter of simple replication but of harnessing new technologies to lead users through the unique behaviours being targeted.

Website Design

We build websites that are beautiful and effective, delivering brand, services, and audience engagement. The process of redeveloping a website for a business is rarely simple and starts with a detailed analysis of audience, purpose and commercial aspirations.

Education, Compliance & Training Content

The new General Data Protection Regulations make handling user data a high-stakes matter, whatever the size of your business. We provide training modules and compliance management with our GDPR-compliant website management systems, and can provide consultancy and Controller services. A significant proportion of our work has always been in the education and training sectors. , delivering products and services to the world’s biggest publishers, with our content in use in more than 180 countries. We built and run the first MOOC for schools in the UK and currently deliver training across Europe and the UK.

Data Management & Visualisation

Data drives insight and business development, whatever your industry. We have a long history of working in logistics and number Asia’s largest logistics company among our clients, for whom we have built business delivery systems generating and organising millions of pieces of data a day across the world. We love exploring how real-time information can transform any business and applied our industry innovation to educational processes and outcomes, enabling them to use highly-visual live data to inform decision making.

Case Studies

Kerry Logistics (EU) Ltd

We first launched a customer portal for the UK business of China’s largest logistics company nearly fifteen years ago. Since then we’ve built a wine shipping management tool for them, a courier-bookings management system, and a system that works out the most economical route for containers from any port in China to any drop-off point in the UK via sea, rail or road.

The largest element of our current work with Kerry is in the integrated delivery of training and data visualisation services for their European-wide staff and customers which involves delivering services to a thousand-odd users.

Rob Hilton, Business Change Manager: “Cambridge Digital consistently build innovative and effective solutions to the problems we bring to them, and support those at scale as we run them out across the globe. We’ve been working with them for more than a decade, and they’ve been great for our business.”

Cambridge University Press Computing MOOC

We built the first GCSE MOOC in the UK for OCR, Raspberry Pi and Cambridge University Press using our Exintra platform, and have watched the number of registered users on the site rise to over 150,000. Delivering video-based blended learning resources with differentiated access for teachers and learners, the site has been a premium resource supporting computing education in schools since its launch.

We also built and continue to maintain their Cambridge School Shakespeare website, and digitised the content for it. As part of this project, we loved working with the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge to develop interactive 360° views of some of their artefacts as a way for students to engage with the world of Shakespeare’s characters.

Helen Cunningham, Publishing Director, UK Education: “It’s such a joy working with people who just get things done, and it all works brilliantly. We simply couldn’t have done it without Cambridge Digital.”

Coopers Livery Company

We’re very proud to be supporting the Worshipful Company of Coopers with the provision of their website and membership management system. One of London’s oldest livery companies with a beautiful Georgian hall in the City of London, it is the trustee of six mainly educational charities, and a social enterprise supporting their ancient craft of cask making. As with most of the livery companies, they make a small, enormously dedicated staff go a very long way in facilitating so much vital activity and we’re delighted to assist them with this by supporting their web services and communications.

Lt Col Adrian Carroll, Clerk: “I love the new look site, which is exactly what one would have wanted and in every sense, and I am conscious of how much we owe you for all the support you have given us.”

Fashion Technology Academy

This social enterprise delivering apprenticeships and training in fashion garment manufacturing is a fabulous organisation in north London for whom we provide a website and training platform to promote the services and deliver elements of their training.

We’re delighted to support their nationally important work, and love the fact that they have such a constant supply of striking images for the designs!

Jenny Holloway, CEO: “Cambridge Digital have been amazing partners for us, and we’re really grateful for the way they support us individually and as a business. They’re a fundamental part of our team and I can’t recommend them highly enough.”
