    Simple Slideshow

The simple slideshow module displays a gallery of pictures on your site, automatically fading from one image to the next. The image changes after a user specified period of time. This is a good way to add dynamism to the images on your site. The simple slideshow module differs from the slideshow display module in that the transition between one image and the next is a uniformal simple fade.

    1. Click on the blue ‘Architecture’ button in the Exintra Panel at the top of the page. Then, click on the ‘Create Module’ button. Finally, select ‘Simple Slideshow’ from the list.

    2. Give your module a title and name by filling in the ‘Title’ and ‘Name’ fields.

    3. Scroll down the page. You can select whether to upload images from your computer or to use a Flickr photo feed by selecting from the ‘Feed source’ dropdown menu.

    4. If you choose ‘Flickr Photos’ as the feed source, fill in the ‘User’s IDs’ and ‘Tags’ fields. The ‘User’s IDs’ is a list of Flickr users to fetch photos from. Separate each user using a comma. The ‘Tags’ field is used to filter the feed by keyword. Again, separate each word with a comma.

    5. Specify the width and height for the images. These values must match the dimensions of the images exactly, and all the images must have the same dimensions, otherwise they will not display correctly.

Define how long each image is displayed before changing to the next by selecting a speed value from the ‘Timing’ dropdown menu.

When you have finished making changes, click on the ‘Save’ button at the bottom left of the page.

    6. If you have chosen to upload photos from your computer, after saving click on ‘Add a new album’ (this is located just above the ‘Save’ button). Give the album a title by filling in the ‘Album title’ field. Then, click on ‘Add/Edit photos’.

    7. Click on the dark grey ‘Upload file(s)’ button. A window will appear. Click on ‘Upload’, then browse to and select the photos you require on your computer.

    8. When you have finished uploading your image, close the ‘File Upload’ and ‘Add images’ windows. Click the ‘Enabled’ checkbox to enable the gallery. Then, click the ‘Save’ button again to save the changes.
