Adding modules
When you click on the 'Add a module' menu you will be presented with a number of options for creating new modules for your website: from interactive photo galleries and maps to weather and RSS feeds.
Choose a module type from the list to start creating your new module. You can choose to customise or add content to your module straight away or leave this until a later time by clicking on the module via the 'View modules' option. By default, new modules you create will not be displayed on your site until you enable them, giving you time to edit them until you are satisfied they are ready to publish. Setting your module up is easy and straight forward and different module types have a number of specific options. Each module type, however, will need the following defined: Status This option allows you to assign modules to the homepage of your site, either to be displayed automatically or for users to add them to their own personalised homepage via the 'customisation panel.' If a module is not displayed on the homepage, you will still be able to use it on the site subpages. Title This is the default title that will display on top of the module. Titles should be kept as short as possible so they do not obstruct module customisation functions in narrow modules. You can choose whether to allow users to change the titles of modules for their personalised view by clicking on the 'Users can change this title' option. Type and Usage These options allow you to assign viewing and editing rights to particular users of your website e.g. you could allow all 'Public users' to view a module but only let certain user groups customise it. Default display This option dictates how a module is displayed by default i.e. maximised or minimised. Users can change this when they create their personalised view of the homepage.
